A new Bible that arranges Scripture according to when the events occurred – as opposed to when it was written – has stirred debate in the Christian blogosphere on whether the chronological ordering leads to clarity or confusion.

This is nothing new. Harvest House published The Narrated Bible more than 10 years ago, and it did the same thing as this new edition from Thomas Nelson. The Life of Christ in Stereo harmonized the Gospels. There's nothing inspired about the order of the books in Scripture. For example, the epistles in the New Testament were arranged in order of size, from the longest (Romans) to the shortest.
